Heather. Stories of Place. 05/10/2023
Brief: Stories of Place seeks to understand the cultural and contextual narratives of stakeholders and place. Situate you here in this place and help foster connections to the more than human around you.
Explore the world of non-human stakeholders through hand-drawn and hand-crafted wearable artefacts - The project fosters empathy through wearable devices that experience narratives that help participants connect with place and the non-humans around them. Our team's stakeholder is heather, a Scottish plant that opens small purple flowers in August and September and dies back in the autumn and winter days. As a flower, it has no special fragrance or bright, conspicuous petals like roses and roses, and always grows together in clusters, often overlooked and crushed by branches falling from high above. We show the story of heather, let people feel the perspective of it.
