Song lyrics are an important part of Song Dynasty culture, highly individual while popularising the masses, and an integral part of our national culture and history. Nowadays we stand under the common cultural background, we can perceive the mood and emotion conveyed by Song lyrics through special imagery depiction. By integrating art and traditional culture and innovative technology into the design, a unique contemporary Song lyrics experience is created, demonstrating a clever combination of artificial intelligence and traditional culture, as if it were a dialogue across generations
In the creation stage, I was inspired by the high frequency images of falling flowers and twilight clouds in Song lyrics: ‘Flying flowers are as light as a dream’ and ‘Smoke and waves are far away, twilight clouds are heavy’. At the same time, based on my interviews with students of the same age and different majors, I collected keywords for the five senses of falling flowers and twilight clouds. The series ‘Yuan, Universe and Song’ contains four conceptual creations and incorporates a sense of fun into them, as you touch and shake, the cranes in the picture of Ruihe are flying and the mountains and rivers are flowing in your hands with a lot of water. I hope to spark the public's interest in Song lyrics by establishing an aesthetic and emotional resonance between tradition and modernity.
Every new technological impact in history has triggered human reflection on its existence. In the face of future changes, what will be the function of co-creation between humans and AI? Perhaps you will find your own answer in these works.
Firstly, by analyzing and summarizing the imagery and five senses of the high-frequency words in Song lyrics, we selected two lines that are representative of the special imagery of Song lyrics: "The free flying flowers are as light as dreams, the boundless silk rain is as fine as sorrow" and "The smoke and waves are far away, the evening clouds are heavy".
