Our Uniforms
The installation consists of four image-generating screens and a projection of a simulated runway. When the audience begins to blow the whistle, the role of the audience is transformed into the judge.
However, in the growing process of these students, they have not been able to take off this "uniform", and the "ability to judge" obtained in school makes them habitually suppress and destroy the beauty that is different from their own and do not bear the responsibility. When they see comments on social media that contradict their own opinions, they attract people with the same ideas to incite public opinion. In daily life, they make random comments on others' clothes and identify people wearing certain kinds of clothes as deviants with bad morals, because in their cognition, quantity represents justice and differences need to be eliminated.
The installation consists of four image-generating screens and a projection of a simulated runway. When the audience begins to blow the whistle, the role of the audience is transformed into the judge. We all grow up in the shadow of this education model, and the rules generated by the school become a collective judgment of society. We lose our identity in the group, our aesthetics and ideas are constantly solidified, we lose the ability to think rationally and judge and become excited by a common goal, and eventually become mass-produced clones.
